I did it. I early voted. Leaving work today at 3pm I knew my destination would be my local library. My very first time voting in a presidential race. A crisp, breezy, sunny fall day welcomed us all. I got emotional. On the verge of tears at least 4 times. Once while driving there, twice while in line and the tears happily fell as I left the library and I proceeded to my car. The hype about the lines are true. I was in and out within 25 minutes but as I was leaving, the line still stretched out the door. A beautiful sight to see. What a beautiful experience. I'd wait 30 plus years all over again to make sure my first vote went to a worthy candidate. Today that candidate is Barack Obama. I can't be too cynical. I feel great and I got a sticker to seal the deal. I early voted today. I made my voice heard.
